By downloading or using JoNotify, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. General Use

JoNotify is designed to help users track and analyze WhatsApp group chats through the use of the "Notification Access" feature on Android devices. Users agree to use the app responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws.

2. Permissions & Data Handling

JoNotify requires certain permissions, including Notification Access and Internet Access, in order to provide its core functionality.

2a. Local Storage (Default)

By default, all messages and group filter configurations are stored locally on your device only. No data is transmitted to any server unless you choose to enable cloud backup.

2b. Optional Cloud Backup

JoNotify offers an opt-in cloud backup feature that, when enabled, backs up your messages and group filter configurations to Google Firebase to ensure reliable access across devices. This feature is off by default.

You may enable or disable cloud backup at any time from within the app's settings. When backup is enabled, your data is not shared with any external or third-party servers or databases beyond Google Firebase. If backup is disabled, your data remains on your device only.

2c. Your Choice

You are in full control of how your data is stored and handled. You may choose to keep your data local at all times, opt in to backup for cross-device access, or opt back out at any point. JoNotify will always respect your preference.

3. Accounts

Users may create an account using email authentication or supported sign-in providers such as Google. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts.

4. No Payment Required

JoNotify is completely free. We do not require any payment to access or use the app. You should never pay money to any individual, website, or external source claiming to be JoNotify or to offer JoNotify services in exchange for payment.

JoNotify is not responsible or accountable for any losses, damages, or scams that users encounter as a result of engaging with unauthorized third parties falsely claiming an affiliation with JoNotify. Users interact with such parties entirely at their own risk.

5. Advertisements

JoNotify may display advertisements through third-party advertising networks. We are not responsible for the content or practices of these advertisers.

6. Intellectual Property

All branding, design, and software associated with JoNotify remain the intellectual property of the JoNotify developers.

7. Limitation of Liability

JoNotify is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The developers are not responsible for any damages, loss of data, misuse, or financial harm resulting from the use of the app or from interactions with third parties falsely presenting themselves as JoNotify.

8. Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

JoNotify is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected to WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. WhatsApp is a trademark of WhatsApp LLC. Use of JoNotify does not imply any relationship with or approval by WhatsApp or Meta.
